Apple kicked off its WWDC 2018 with announcements made on the company’s software platforms – iOS, watchOS, and macOS.
with ARKit 2.0. The version 2.0 focuses on making the technology available cross-platform and more intuitive for users. Apple introduced a new Measure application that uses AR for precise measurement of the space around you.The WWDC 2018 also focused on digital wellbeing. The latest Apple software allows users to control the time spent on the applications. The new initiative includes improvements to Do Not Disturb application and new Activity Reports, App Limits and Notifications controls.

With iOS 12, Apple aims to improve software performance on iPads and iPhones.
“Camera launches up to 70 percent faster, the keyboard appears up to 50 percent faster and typing is more responsive. Even when there is a lot going on across the system, apps can launch up to twice as fast. From iPhone 5s introduced in 2013 to the most advanced iPhone ever, iPhone X, iOS 12 brings performance improvements to more devices than any previous version,” says the company.
Apple’s iOS 12 also comes with Group FaceTime, improved Photos, and new security features.
“In Safari, enhanced Intelligent Tracking Prevention helps block social media “Like” or “Share” buttons and comment widgets from tracking users without permission. Safari now also presents simplified system information when users browse the web, preventing them from being tracked based on their system configuration. Safari now also automatically creates, autofills and stores strong passwords when users create new online accounts and flags reused passwords so users can change them,” said Apple.
Apple iOS 12 developer preview is available to Apple Developer Program users via develop.apple.com starting today. The public beta programme will be launched for iOS users later this month via beta.apple.com.
