Swadesh Vichar-Bhubaneswar(25/05) : State Institute of Special Education & Research ( SISER )in collaboration with National Institute of Empowerment of Persons with Visual disability ( NIEPVD ) have organized a webinar on ROLE OF SPIRITUALITY IN EDUCATION & SOCIAL LIFE on 23rd May .Webinar was inaugurated by Dr Himanshu Das , Director of NIEPVD ; In his inaugural speech Dr Das lauded the efforts of his colleagues in discussing this type of crucial topic which is the need of the hour .DY Secretary Govt of Odisha Sri Ambika Prasad Pattnaik in his speech stressed on how the spiritual knowledge of India can be delegated to the future generation and the role of all educational institute . He lauded the efforts of SISER in this direction & encouraged the participants to think innovatively .During his key note address Dr Jasmer Singh , Asst Professor NIEPVD stressed on how Indian Spiritualism is age old , based on scientific facts and till date how they are contemporary which need boost from all corners to be useful in our daily life .
President , Ekamra Saraswat Sangh Sri Santosh Kumar Mohanty as the main resource speaker stressed on belief ; he explained this belief is neither a blind belief as being criticized by many and presented a live example of a fact of US of recent past .Mr Mohanty expressed his anguish over westernization of education policy and advised concerned authorities to ensure education policy makers should stress upon value based education which will have Enlighted citizens in times to come .Er Sangram Dhar as another resource speaker discussed how current scenario is compelling the citizens to follow spiritualism as now Pain is more than Gain and because of our unnatural behavior in daily life making us vulnerable to get trapped in current scenario .He also stressed how Gratitude can alter the scenario and how we are becoming un thankful to many as well as stressed upon becoming helpful to society at a large . Ms Purnima Sharma summed up the entire session in a nice way . Sri K Srinivas Reddy gave vote of thanks .
