Centre has sought to allay any apprehension regarding the Rohingyas living in India.

Speaking on the issue in the Lok Sabha, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the security forces have been alerted to prevent further influx from the borders.

The state governments have been issued advisories to take the count of Rohingyas and once they respond with the figures, the same will be forwarded to the minsitry of external affairs for further action.

The centre has made it clear that Rohingyas are illegal immigrants and not migrants and they are not entitled to any privilege whatsoever.
