Govt to make efforts to identify people with entrepreneurial skills

The State government plans to include entrepreneurship in school curriculumwith the help of the Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence.

Efforts will also be made to identify people with entrepreneurial skills, said Tom Jose, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour and Skills Department, here on Sunday. He was speaking after visiting the stalls set up at India Skills Kerala 2018, a three-day event jointly organised by the Industrial Training Department and KASE, at Marine Drive here.

Mr. Jose said the government was planning to adopt innovative designs displayed at the ISK competition in various departments. Citing a study on youths in Kozhikode and Ernakulam which revealed that most of them wanted jobs and were not receptive to the idea of starting own ventures, Mr. Jose said such an attitude had to be changed. “We are ready to provide them every support, but the attitude must change,” he added.
