Actress Debina Bonnerjee rose to fame with her debut show Ramayan where she essayed the role of Sita. The actress went onto tap her acting skills furthermore by taking up light-hearted shows like Chidiyaghar. She was seen portraying the character of fun-loving and crazy Mayuri. Post that, she was also seen participating in various reality shows.
After having spent a decade in the TV industry, we quipped Debina over her favourite TV character till date, that she would have loved to play. To this, without much ado, Debina told TimesofIndia.com, that she loved Shweta Tiwari’s role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
“Yes, I would have loved to play Shweta Tiwari’s role in Kasauti Zindagi Ki,” said Debina. “It was neither an extremely sweet nor a bitter character and was perfectly balanced. It was the ideal role for any heroine, powerful and subtle at the same time. Shweta did a very very good job as Prerna. I would have loved to essay the character.”
So, since Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is on cards, we questioned Debina if she would take up the show. “Oh Yes, if it’s to be aired on Television, I would love to play the role and be a part of Kasautii Zindagi iKay 2,” said Debina.
The actress was last seen in the show Santoshi Maa where she played Goddess Paulomi. The show went off air in 2017. Talking about coming back on screen, Debina said, ” I shall comeback on screen soon. See, I have almost touched all genres of entertainment. From playing a coy Sita to a completely crazy Mayuri, have done it all. Also, I have done stand up shows etc as well. So now I am actually looking for something different. My previous makers were sweet enough and came up to me with something as soon as our former show went off air. But I did not want to jump into doing something because I needed time to unwind and come out of the character that I was playing then. So now I want something that I haven’t played on screen and is different.”
The actress is currently in Krabi with her husband Gurmeet and her family to celebrate her birthday. Meanwhile, the news of the second season of the hit show Kasautii Zindagii Kay, to soon go on floors has made fans beam with joy.
